When in doubt, put a bow on it!
There's something about little bows that makes things look so much more... What's that word I'm looking for... Tolerable? Got a crappy present? Put a bow on it and it suddenly becomes super cute!
I love Kate Spade accessories, but I don't own any. At least not at the time I'm writing this. Kate Spade seems to put bows on a lot of things: their handbags, wallets, shoes, bracelets, etc.
If you name an item that Kate Spade makes, they've probably made a version with a bow on it.
I learned this bow stitch from MyPicot. I decided to make an item that one would use every day and came up with a crochet coffee cup cozy.
I went to university without needing to rely on coffee. In fact, even after starting working as a nurse and doing shift work I never felt the need to have coffee be my source my energy.
However, I suddenly turned into a coffee addict shortly after becoming a mother. There are just not enough hours in a day to get a proper night's worth of sleep.
These handmade crochet cozies may not keep your coffee warm, but they will help prevent your hands from burning if they're not double-layered disposable coffee cups!
Plus, they are reusable and also make great gifts for teachers, friends, coworkers, etc. Check out these Crochet Heart Coffee Cozies I made as Christmas presents for BB's daycare teachers! They would also work great as Christmas stocking stuffers!
The name Spades and Bows was inspired by my admiration for Kate Spade New York accessories. If you are interested in making your own Spades and Bows Crochet Coffee Cozy, keep reading.
