I wanted a way to feel Disney magic and wear my Minnie Mouse ears every day!
I went through a Disneyland withdrawal after coming back from our family vacation in June last year. The kids had an amazing time, and we made lots of core memories while we were there.
All the Disney Stores in Vancouver, BC closed within the last couple of years and we were so sad because we didn't have a local way to feel Disney magic anymore. The closest Disney Store to us is about a 3-hour drive south to Seattle.
For our Disneyland trip, we made our own mouse ears to wear around the park. It just feels so natural to wear mouse ears in public when you're in Disneyland!
I wish there was a way for me to experience that Disney magic every day. But would I look like some crazy woman if I wore my Minnie Mouse ears to the grocery store?
Could I get fired for wearing mouse ears to work? Maybe not, but let's not test that.
So... I created these adorable crocheted Minnie Mouse rings!
These rings are so easy to make and assemble. You'll be able to make 3-4 of them easily in a crafty afternoon!
They make for amazing gifts for the Disney fanatic in your life because they look so fantastic (when you know their ring size)!

Crochet Instructions
Ears (x2)
Using a 2.25 mm crochet hook and black embroidery thread...
Round 1: Magic Ring with a base of 6 sc (6 sts)
Round 2: Sc inc in each st around (12 sts)
Cut and fasten off.
Bow
Using a 2.25 mm crochet hook and red embroidery thread...
Row 1: Ch 13, sc into the second ch from the hook and then in each st across (12 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across (12 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across (12 sts)
Cut and fasten off with a tail to sew and cinch the bow.
Assembly
Making the Bow
Fold the piece in half lengthwise. Use one of the ends of the yarn (beginning or end) to sew the edges together on the wrong side.
Then turn it inside out so the seam is in the inside of the tube. Move the seam to the middle of the piece. Use one of the ends of the yarn to cinch the center of the bow 2-3 times. Secure the cinch.
Attaching it to The Ring
Attach both of the ears by using the ends to wrap around the ring and sewing it back to the bottom of the ear. Weave the ends through the ears to fill in any holes you have from the stitches.
Use the black thread from the ears to secure the bow in place. Sew to the back of the bow to hide the thread.
Use the ends of the bow to attach it to the ring by wrapping it around the ring and cinching the bow a bit more. Secure the threads and cut.
