BB has an extreme sweet tooth, which inspired me to crochet these mini amigurumi gummy bears. For her birthday this year, my sister-in-law got her a gummy bear lab kit. I don't know how much science they actually learned. They were mostly after the final treat, but it's still cute and we had a lot much fun making gummy bears at home!
These irresistible and perfect amigurumi gummy bears can satisfy any craving. They measure approximately 4.5-5 cm when made with worsted-weight yarn. The size of no-sew gummy bears makes fantastic small gifts and adorable keychains.
If you want larger gummy bear stuffy, you can use thicker yarn options like Bernat Blanket or Hobbii's Honey Bunny and the appropriate crochet hook size.
No-sew amigurumi crochet patterns are gaining popularity due to their simplicity and time-saving nature. They require minimal color changes and eliminate the need for sewing pieces together. With their quick and easy construction, no-sew amigurumi gummy bears are sure to catch the attention of customers seeking unique and charming creations.

Notes
- I made this amigurumi doll using the "Yarn Under Single Crochet" technique. This technique makes the stitches tighter and appears more aligned.
- Crochet in continuous rounds. Do not join at the end of each round. Use a running stitch marker to keep your place when crocheting in rounds.
- Use the ultimate finish to close up the back of the amigurumi gummy bear.
- Use invisible decreases when making single crochet decreases for a nicer finish.
- Optional: invisible increase
- Finished measurements: approximately 4.5 cm (~1.75 inches)
- Gauge is not super important for this project as long as you keep your tension consistent.
- You can change and use a different yarn weight/category and appropriate hook size for this project to make it bigger/smaller.

I’m coming up with 16 sc in round 5 and not 18?
Hmm... no. You are essentially making [sc, dec, sc] and repeating that 6 times. There are only 3 stitches in that bracket. 3 sts x 6 times = 18 sts.
I came up with 16 sts on round 5 too and couldn't figure out where I was going wrong for ages. Turned out I was going sc, sc Dec, sc, sc Dec etc. Rather than sc, sc Dec, SC, sc, sc Dec, sc. If that helps anyone :)
This pattern was kind of tough to follow. Had the same issue as others where the stitch count was off from the start. Ended up with a lopsided gummy bear but kinda cute lol
The pattern has been tested by multiple testers. Which part did you find the count wrong? Perhaps I can help if you email me. Thanks!
The phrasing threw me a few times and i had to remember that sc dec was one stitch. A lot of patterns just say dec. Also the row with the arms started wrong. I think they ended up starting 3 stitches sooner. Same with the face and ears. Hopefully that helps anyone. It turned out super cute!!!and is worth pulling a couple rows and redoing them 😂 if i attempt again mb the stitches will land right
This pattern was well written and easy to follow. The comments saying otherwise is very confusing. I have only been crocheting for a year and there was nothing confusing about this and it turned out perfect. Thanks for the great free pattern!
I'm not sure if this is it but I think the reason people might be getting 16 instead of 18 is because; 1 they did the bbl then the sc it asks for including the sc in round 4 or 2 they're doing sc, sc dec, sc, sc dec. I could be wrong however, because I've only been crocheting for a few months. Might come back and add to this comment if I actually find the reason. Other than that this is a really cute pattern :3
Great pattern! Very clear and quick to work up, BUT important to note that you’re starting from the bottom not the top! I got too eager and added a nose thinking they forgot to write the nose in…. Now I have a gummy bear with an outtie belly button. LOL so just be aware you’re starting from the legs up and they did not forget to add the nose in the pattern….
I hope I'm not the only one that did an "sc, dec" every time is said "sc dec"
The video is very helpful and has the words on it as you go. I have made several and quick scrap project. can't wait to sell and also give as gifts.
