If you've been following my blog for the last year or so, you might have noticed that I've been using a lot of Hobbii's yarn. I have to say that they're quickly becoming one of my favorite yarn companies!

What is Hobbii?
Hobbii is a Danish company that specializes in selling yarn and other knitting and crochet supplies. They offer a wide range of yarn options, including different fiber types like cotton, acrylic, wool, and blends, as well as various weights and colors.
Hobbii provides a convenient platform for knitters and crocheters to purchase yarn and related crafting materials for their projects. They carry their own in-house brands of yarn, as well as popular yarn brands from around the world.
My Favorite Hobbii Yarns
Now, I know you've all been waiting to see what I got as part of my latest happy mail package from Hobbii. So let me show you my favorite yarns from Hobbii!
Hobbii's Cotton Friends
I love the stitch definition that cotton yarn provides and it's great for beginners who are just learning how to crochet because they can clearly visualize their stitches. So it's no secret that I love making amigurumi using cotton yarn, and I've found my favorite with Hobbii Cotton Friends and Hobbii Rainbow Cotton.
Hobbii Cotton Friends comes in a HUGE variety of colors, which makes them perfect for amigurumis. I even found a range of skin tone yarn colors available with this line of yarn. And if you cannot find the color you're looking for (which would surprise me), Hobbii's Rainbow Cotton would be a great substitute.
Both Friends Cotton and Rainbow Cotton also come in 3 different weights (Cotton 8/8, Cotton 8/6, and Cotton 8/4). So if you prefer to make amigurumis using a finer-weight yarn, you can do that!
Now I can make my amigurumis and stick with one brand and line of yarn without having to piecemeal them using different brands just to find the right colors. This is particularly important because it helps to keep the same gauge throughout the project and will also help those following the pattern to achieve comparable results.
Hobbii Amigo Giga
In addition to cotton yarn, I also love using acrylic yarn. Acrylic yarn maintains good stitch definition but also has some squish and stretch to it that helps fill in some of those gaps.
Hobbii's Amigo Giga is a bulky-weight acrylic yarn that has truly transformed my amigurumi crafting experience and is nothing short of magical when it comes to effortlessly upsizing your amigurumi creations.
If you ever wish to create a larger amigurumi without the hassle of recalculating stitches or adding extra stitches, Hobbii's Amigo Giga is what you're looking for. Hobbii Honey Bunny
Hobbii's Honey Bunny is a plush dream come true. I had the pleasure of working with Hobbii's chenille yarn when I made my Chinese New Year Lucky Candy pillow, and it was an absolute delight. Honey Bunny is offered in a wide range of beautiful and vibrant colors.
Polyester chenille yarn is so popular nowadays because of its chunky and soft qualities. You can easily create a sizable plush toy with minimal effort. Hobbii's Honey Bunny glides through the fingers smoothly and the stitches are easy to see.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that Honey Bunny doesn't frog (unravel) very well. Attempting to undo your stitches may cause the yarn to come apart and shed. While this can be frustrating, once your project is complete, it does hold up well with regular use and I haven't experienced any shedding after that.
Hobbii Peacock
Hobbii's Peacock faux fur yarn has quickly become one of my favorite faux fur yarns. From the moment you touch Hobbii's Peacock yarn, you're greeted by a softness that's like cradling a cloud in your hands.
You'll be happy to know that this faux fur yarn doesn't shed. Even when I had to frog/unravel my work, there was no shedding, whatsoever. The yarn's sturdiness comes from the knitted cord that holds the fur together.
Most of the time when crocheting, we are advised to use faux fur/eyelash yarn with a strand of worsted weight yarn so we can see or feel where our stitches are. But with the knitted cord, you can easily feel where your stitches are.
This yarn works up extremely plush with a 10 mm crochet hook and comes in a small collection of colors that includes neutrals, red, pink, blue, and green. Ideally, I'd love to see more colors and shades offered in this yarn for some fun plush amigurumi creations.
I'm excited to try making amigurumi and other wearables with this yarn.

Hobbii Bingo
Hobbii Bingo is one of my favorite things to do on Monday Mornings! And if my kids don't have school, they love playing along too!
If you want to join in on the fun, just download the Hobbii app (Android / iOS). It's completely FREE!
It's really easy. All you have to do after you download the app is make sure you tune in to Hobbii Bingo before they distribute the Bingo cards.
Once you get your card, you can just sit back and relax because everything else is automatic. Each game lasts approximately 40 minutes and you can actually win real prizes!
As the host calls out the numbers, they also show you the prizes and what you can win. The hosts are often very entertaining and I love learning about their yarn so I know what I want to get and try out next time! (I think that's a sign of a yarn addict.)
Hobbii Competitions
It's only recently that I learned that Hobbii also runs competitions! Every month, Hobbii puts out new challenges that will put your crochet and knitting creativity and talent to the test.
All you need to do is snap a high-quality photo of your masterpiece and upload it to the competition page. The winner is then determined by the Hobbii community members such as yourself and your friends when they vote for their favorite design!
And of course, there are real prizes if you win!
