There’s a certain bittersweet charm to your child losing their first tooth—it’s a milestone that signals growing up. But I’ll be honest: the sight of a wiggly tooth always sends shivers down my spine!
When my youngest was gearing up to lose her first tooth last year, I found myself needing a distraction from all the "Look how wiggly it is, Mom!" moments. That’s when I decided to crochet a mini amigurumi tooth to mark the occasion.

What started as a simple keepsake quickly turned into a creative obsession. This little tooth was just too cute not to revisit.
From the classic design of a simple crochet tooth, it evolved into this fun variation of an amigurumi Sweet Tooth, complete with frosting and a cherry on top. If you're wondering, those "sprinkles" are actually sewing pins (because I was using it as a pin cushion).

These easy amigurumi projects are perfect for beginners and great for anyone looking to crochet something cute and simple. Each one brings its own whimsical charm and makes the perfect gift or keepsake for little ones crossing this exciting milestone.

In this blog post, I’ll these adorable mini amigurumi designs. Whether you’re celebrating a first lost tooth, a gift for your favorite dentist or dental hygienist, or just love the idea of toothy-themed crochet, there’s something here to inspire your next project!

Notes
- This pattern is written using US crochet terms.
- I made this amigurumi doll using the "Yarn Under Single Crochet" technique. This technique makes the stitches tighter and appears more aligned.
- Crochet in continuous spiral rounds. Do not join at the end of each round unless otherwise stated. Use a running stitch marker to keep your place when crocheting in rounds.
- Use the ultimate finish to close up the top of the amigurumi tooth. Sew it down so there's a bit of a dent to the top
- When working on the frosting, I used the "wrong side" of the piece as the "outside" or the side that is showing.
- Optional: Use the invisible increase and invisible decrease for a nicer finish.
- Finished measurements: approximately 16 cm / 6.3 inches

Round 2: Sc inc in each st around (12 sts)
Round 3: Sc in each st around (12 sts)
Cut and fasten off.
Make a second one and don't cut/fasten off the second one. Continue to the crown of the tooth below.
